OBTC 2011: Teaching Conference for Management Educators at Marquette University

June 8, 2011 to June 11, 2011
This year's OBTC conference will be at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a good conference for discovering yourself as a management educator. This event is attended by many MDSA and MFCA members, so it is also another opportunity to visit your extended DSA family.

What are your main research interests?
Institutionalism, power, culture, indigenous issues, sensemaking, and management education.
What are your main teaching interests?
My mean teaching interests are organizational theory and culture. I find that I really enjoy learning about the theoretical foundations of sociology and cultural anthropology. I'm especially finding it fun to study Weber and Foucault, since both recognize the value that history has to contribute to sociology, ideas that extend into studying management history. Of course, transferring my interest into teaching could be a challenge, since not many undergraduate or MBA programs really examine management history.
